How this started
Never advertised, still don't need to
For years I was the one friends and neighbours rang when something needed doing — put a shelf up, run something to the tip, sort the garden before the in-laws visited. At some point the phone was going enough that I thought, right, this is the job now. That was a good while back, and I've never advertised — every customer's come from someone telling someone else. Round here, if you do a bad job, everyone hears about it by Thursday. That keeps you honest better than anything.
What you can expect
A straight price before I start
I'll tell you what it'll cost before I pick up a tool. If I open something up and find a bigger problem, I stop and ring you — no surprises on the bill.
I turn up when I said
If I say Tuesday morning, it's Tuesday morning. If I'm running twenty minutes late, you'll get a text, not silence.
Honest about what I can't do
I'm not a plumber, a sparky, or a roofer, and I won't pretend to be. If your job needs one, I'll tell you — and probably give you the number of someone local who's decent.
Right, what's on your list?
Message, photo, voice note, whatever's easiest. I'll come back with a price, usually the same day. And no, the job's not too small — half my week is jobs people apologised for before asking.
